Welcome to my page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I am an internal medicine, dementia and hospice palliative care physician, and I have worked at Kaiser Permanente for the past 25 years.
I feel very fortunate to be part of this very proactive organization which cares so much for its members.
I was born in India and moved to the United States after getting married, finishing medical school, and training for two years to be an Ob/Gyn. Even when I was a little girl, I wanted to be a physician, and God helped me fulfill my dream, so that I can help people. I am a fortunate mother of two kids. My daughter is a pediatrician and teaches medical students and residents; she is married to a cardiology fellow. My son is an accountant, and my husband is an emergency medicine physician. I am a fortunate wife and mother.

Dr. Som Pal was born and raised in India in a farmer family. After 4th grade, his education was done in a Lodging Boarding school, called Gurukul (school system, where you live and perform all activities in a well-planned, manner way, do Yoga and Meditation every day, as part of the routine). He earned his Masters's in Sanskrit (an Indian, old, rich language) and Ph.D. from Punjab University Chandigarh, India.
Dr. Som Pal also holds a Yoga Diploma from GurukulKangriUni, India; he was a student in the very first batch.
Dr. Som Pal came to the United States in 1995 to serve Indian Community. Soon he learned Computer skills and ESL in Orange County Community College. He is currently serving in the County Department and still working for community services as a volunteer.
Over the years, he has helped many families make them stable emotionally and positively. Dr. Som Pal teaches to be thoughtful, hopeful, optimistic, spiritual, and energetic. His experience and vision are evident for the community. He likes to serve and help people without expectations; he is generous, learned, scholar, and a better human being.
He has served all over the U.S. for his services.
Over the years, Dr. Som Pal learned and observed that community and citizens getting under depression, burden, sadness, and being failed to rise in life. Lots of families end their lives without seeing HOPE, lots of young men-women, hanging, shooting, killing each other, or themselves for the same reason. Seeing all these troubling situations, conditions, and environment, Dr. Som Pal came up with the vision, accompanying Dr. Robert J. Newton, to provide “Positive Life with Yoga” services to the community and young generations.
